Bill Soukup is a senior hydrogeologist at Cornerstone Environmental Group, LLC in Middletown, New York, and brings 35 years of experience in the investigation and modeling of complex groundwater systems to Forester University. Soukup earned a BS degree in Geology from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1976 and a MS degree in Geology from Ohio University in 1978. Soukup started his career as a “Chief Hydrogeologist” and groundwater modeler with the U. S. Geological Survey in Minnesota where he authored several multi-county groundwater resource investigation reports. For the past 30 years, Soukup has worked in the New York/New Jersey area, conducting and managing hydrogeologic investigations at numerous industrial sites.
Throughout the years, Soukup has conducted over 50 site-specific groundwater flow and transport model simulations, dating back to his Master’s thesis in 1978. The results of these simulations formed the basis of numerous successful groundwater remedies which have been implemented across the country and abroad. Soukup is a Registered Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania and Arizona.
