Dr. Paul W. Lander, ASLA, LEED A.P. from dakota ridge partners brings 28 years of experience in the fields of water, energy and land conservation to Forester University. For 16 years during this tenure, Dr. Launder led the City of Boulder’s Waste Conservation Office, directing the city’s award-winning program for a community of over 100,000 people.

Dr. Lander teaches courses in WEDTern Water and Landscape Sustainability at CU-Boulder and Denver. He is Chair of the American Society of Landscape Architects Water Conservation Professional Network, the Alliance for Water Efficiency Outreach and Education Committee, and the AWWA WaterWiser Committee, as well as on the advisory board of the Lane Community College, Oregon Water Conservation Technician Program. In addition, Dr. Lander is consults independently through his firm dakota ridge partners, including his current work as an analyst with the Sustainable Collaborations Group.


Dr. Lander attended the Universities of Washington and Colorado, receiving graduate degrees in landscape architecture and geography, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
