Melanie K. Goetz brings more than three decades of marketing and public relations’ experience to Forester University. As a speaker, consultant, and author she specializes in helping water and wastewater utilities, watershed authorities, and stormwater entities effectively convey the value of water to the public.
She has been a driving force behind defining and implementing effective strategic public education and outreach campaigns. Goetz wrote two books on the subject of communicating the value of water for the American Water Works Association (AWWA): Communicating Water's Value: Talking Points, Tips and Strategies and recently wrote: Communicating Water’s Value Part 2: Stormwater, Wastewater, and Watersheds (2017).
With a strong community involvement, Melanie was elected and served on a water and wastewater’s board for nearly 8 years – four years as its President.
An on-going contributor to the Journal of the American Water Works, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Colorado, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.
