Dr. Glenn O. Brown

Dr. Glenn O. Brown is Regents Professor Emeritus at Oklahoma State University. With over 40 years of educational and practicing experience, he holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering. Specializing in environmental impact analysis, Dr. Brown teaches and conducts research in the areas of fluid mechanics and groundwater pollution. For the last 14 years he has focused on stormwater filters, including the construction and testing of over two dozen bioretention cells. In addition to OSU, he has held positions at Sandia National Laboratories, Colorado State University, Gulf Oil Corporation, and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Dr. Brown has been Principal or Co-Principal Investigator on 40 research projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other organizations. He has authored over 200 journal articles, book chapters, proceedings papers, and technical reports. A licensed Professional Engineer, he is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers. Dr. Brown has been elected a Fellow in the American Society of Biological and Agricultural Engineers and the Environmental and Water Resources Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has been honored with several university and national teaching awards and has been an invited speaker both in the U.S. and internationally.
