President and Founder
Daniel Apt brings more than 23 years of experience in stormwater management and water quality to Forester University. The founder and President of Olaunu, a surface water quality company based in San Clemente, California, Apt specializes in Low-Impact Development and green infrastructure, stormwater capture and use, watershed planning, MS4 permit assistance, and stormwater training. His involvement in LID and green infrastructure includes planning, design, inspection, maintenance, monitoring and effectiveness evaluation, tracking, training, outreach, cost and multiple benefit analysis, technical guidance, regulatory plans, case studies, as well as codes and regulations.
Apt received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine and his Master’s degree from the University of Miami. He currently serves as the Chair of the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA), Co-Developer of the California LID Web-portal, and is engaged in LID projects and initiatives in California, China, Peru, and Chile.
