New Directions in Stormwater Funding

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The economic pressures of the last year have caused many local governments to cut budgets, delay new funding initiatives, and shrink programs. Nature, on the other hand, has seemed to take things up a notch in terms of flooding and infrastructure deterioration.

Just as it is good to get a physical checkup or a financial one, it is good to take a hard look at the ways your local stormwater program is “resourced.” Many innovative options have come into use across the country that create efficiencies and trim the need for other increases.

Join Forester University for this live, educational webinar as stormwater pioneer and expert Andy Reese (PE, LEED AP, D.WRE) creates a structure by which to analyze these resources and gives numerous examples of some of the best practices in the US.

This course will help you jumpstart your own assessment of your program and give you lots of ideas to ponder and try out.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the suite of ways to resource a stormwater program
  • Learn how resources, money, and revenue differ
  • Explore the steps of a stormwater financial analysis
