Finally! Solving Stormwater Problems with HSPF Modeling

COURSE DESCRIPTION

While HSPF was not originally designed and developed to explicitly model stormwater problems, the program has the flexibility and complexity to represent almost any stormwater situation – large or small.

Join returning speaker, Doug Beyerlein, for the fourth and final session in our HSPF Hydrology Master Class Series to thoroughly examine how HSPF can be used to solve stormwater problems

In particular, this online training webinar will explore how specific PERLNDs, IMPLNDs, and RCHRESs can be used to model both stormwater problems and solutions. For example, we’ll see how you can create PERLNDs to represent green roofs or combine PERLNDs with IMPLNDs to model lateral flow dispersion and impervious area disconnection. We’ll also walk through the process of constructing RCHRES FTABLEs to represent stormwater retention and detention facilities as well as different LID features (e.g. bioretention and permeable pavement). We’ll close the loop on continuous simulation with HSPF by discussing how you can successfully model climate change impacts and other stormwater problems.
