COURSE DESCRIPTION

The solid waste industry is ranked as one of the top five most dangerous jobs in the United States. On top of that, the entire industry is facing economic limitations, the challenges of emerging technologies, and a changing regulatory climate. While safety and operational efficiency are often viewed as being at odds, the application of process improvement tools and standard operating procedures can lead to a lean operation that is safer for both employees and customers.
