Odor Control Using True Vapor-Phase Technology

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Sponsored by: Byers Scientific & Manufacturing

Persistent odors emitted from landfills, MRFs, composting operations, and organics can be successfully mitigated (or eliminated) by leveraging a combination of chemical, hardware, and software technology.

Join Marc L. Byers for a webcast exploring chemical technology that allows a liquid deodorizer to be volatilized into a truly dry vapor state ready to be deployed to effectively combat airborne malodor.

In this webcast, we'll explore how to control landfill, waste transfer station, and compost facility odors by using proprietary biochemical additive formulas and a patent-pending vapor technology. Within this discussion, we'll outline the four points of action in an odor audit: 1) identify the source; 2) identify the component chemistry; 3) neutralize the odor; 4) establish a perimeter airborne defense. We'll start with how you can best identify the odor source and component chemistry.  We'll then explore the best practices for neutralizing odor at its source using biochemical formulas designed for long-term odor mitigation programs and short-term immediate deodorization needs. Next, we'll discuss how to establish a perimeter airborne defense to mitigate fugitive airborne odors using a patent-pending dry vapor technology (the chemical itself and the distribution system). We'll compare and contrast this technology to misting/atomization systems, taking a look at the results and benefits (e.g., significantly less water usage). And finally, we'll wrap up the webinar with a tour of vapor phase technology in action through client success stories.
